The new Lego City Water Playground at Legoland New York opens May 26, 2023, just in time for the summer heat.
Beginning Memorial Day weekend, families can splash into summer at Lego City Water Playground featuring a super-soaked, splash-filled, dance party! Hosts Slidin’ Ryan and Matty Splash will introduce a brand-new Legoland New York character, Shark Suit Guy, who will lead the crowd in a wave to open the new attraction.
This water playground will feature a 318-gallon water bucket, kid-friendly water slides, and a Lego boat build and race area. A changing area is also provided so guests can dry off and enjoy the rest of the day exploring the park’s seven Lego-themed lands and attractions.

Certified Autism Center
Legoland New York’s 2023 season marks its first as a Certified Autism Center, joining Legoland California and Legoland Florida.
The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) trained all resort staff in best practices in serving guests with autism and their families. New this year, every ride has a posted Sensory Guide indicating any bright lights, loud sounds, or other features that guests might need to plan around. And as it has in the past, Legoland New York offers a quiet room designed for children with varying sensory needs.
