What to Eat at LEGOLAND New York: Food Guide for Families

Let’s be honest—theme park food is expensive, and LEGOLAND New York is no exception. But knowing where to eat, what to skip, and how to save money can mean the difference between a $60 lunch and a $120 one. Here’s your complete guide.

Brickolini's Pizza and Pasta restaurant at LEGOLAND New York

Restaurant Overview

LEGOLAND New York has five main dining locations spread across the park:

Brickolini’s Pizza & Pasta (center of park)
Buffet-style Italian. Pizza, pasta, salad, bread, desserts. Kids love the variety. Adults appreciate not chasing food around a table. Located near the carousel—great for a sit-down break.

Smokey’s Brick-B-Que (near Castle)
Smoked meats, ribs, pulled pork, and mac and cheese. Hearty portions. The BBQ sauce is actually good. It gets busy during the lunch rush.

Brickbeard’s Food Market (LEGO City area)
Tacos, burgers, chicken fingers, and fries. Fast-casual with something for everyone. Good middle-ground option.

Krazy Kook’s Snacks & ICE (near Pirates)
Hot dogs, pretzels, churros, ice cream. Quick fixes when you don’t want to sit down.

The Deli (seasonal, near entrance)
Sandwiches and salads. Good vegetarian options here.

Budget-Friendly Eating Tips

Pack your own food. This is the single biggest money-saver. A cooler in your car with sandwiches, fruit, granola bars, and drinks can easily save you $50-80 per family. You can return to your car throughout the day.

Snack strategy: Bring refillable water bottles and easy-to-carry snacks like granola bars, crackers, and fruit. You’ll pay $5-8 per small snack inside otherwise.

Eat a big breakfast before you arrive. Don’t waste stomach space on mediocre park food when you could be eating pancakes. Gas stations and diners along Route 17 are everywhere in Goshen.

What to Actually Order

If you’re buying food inside the park, here’s what stands out:

  • Brickolini’s pasta – Actually decent Italian. The mac and cheese is kid-approved comfort food.
  • Smokey’s ribs – Fall-off-the-bone delicious. Skip the pulled pork if you’re sensitive to sweetness.
  • Brickbeard’s tacos – Freshest option in the park. The fish tacos are surprisingly good.
  • Krazy Kook’s churros – Warm, cinnamon-sugar, five stars. Worth every penny.

Skip: The pizza at Brickolini’s is inconsistent. Sometimes great, sometimes forgettable. The buffet is safer than ordering off the menu.

Dietary Options

Vegetarians: Brickolini’s has salad, pasta without meat, and vegetable sides. The Deli has the best vegetarian sandwich options. Most other locations have limited vegetarian choices beyond fries.

Gluten-free: LEGOLAND is not celiac-friendly. Cross-contamination is likely everywhere. If your family has serious gluten issues, bring your own food. The park does offer some GF items at select locations—ask at Brickolini’s—but don’t expect dedicated prep areas.

Allergies: Inform staff when ordering. The park accommodates common allergies, but every situation is different. Call ahead for specific concerns.

Vegan: Very limited. Brickolini’s has plain pasta and bread. Most other options include dairy or meat. Bring your own food if being vegan is non-negotiable.

Kids’ Meal Strategy

Every restaurant has kids’ meals with a toy. They’re $10-12 each and include a drink and sides. The toys are mini-LEGO sets—actually decent quality. If your kid is begging for a souvenir anyway, the kids’ meal kills two birds.

What Not to Do

Don’t wait until everyone is “starving” to find food. Lines get long during meal rushes (12-1 PM and 5-6 PM). Find your restaurant before the hunger point of no return.

Don’t overbuy. Portions are reasonable. Start with one plate per person and add sides if needed. Wasted food at theme parks is basically burning money.

Don’t forget about the water. Hydration matters, especially in summer. Fill bottles at drinking fountains or ask for cups of water at any counter service location—it’s free.

The Bottom Line

LEGOLAND New York’s food is better than most theme parks, but it’s still theme park food at theme park prices. Bring snacks, eat a big breakfast, and budget about $20-25 per person if you’re buying lunch inside. Your wallet—and your kids’ energy levels—will thank you.
